The new build carries the identifier CP41.260831.019. It arrives exactly one week after Beta 7, which brought no major user-facing changes.

One fix in this release

The release notes list one change, a fix for “Severe UI stuttering and multi-second freezes (Issue ),” according to 9to5Google.

Support covers a wide range of hardware. Eligible devices include the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8 series, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9 series, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10 series, Pixel 11 series and the Android Emulator. Users already on Beta 6 received Beta 7 as an over-the-air update if they chose not to jump to QPR3 testing.

System images are available for manual installation. Google asks testers to report remaining problems through the Android Beta Feedback app, which they can open from the app drawer or Quick Settings.
